Welcome to the OT Basic Research Guide for Pacific University Library!

This guide is intended to help you:

*Find full-text articles & obtain them (print or electronic)

*Find books & obtain them (print or electronic)

*Use proper citation styles in your writing

*Learn about library resources for your area of study 

Getting Started

You will need to set up the following accounts in order to use library resources:

1. Review your Library Account. Go to Pacific University Library Account to:

  • See what items you borrowed
  • Renew your checked-out materials
  • Monitor the status of your holds
  • Review your fines
  • Save your results and searches in your Boxer Search

2. Set up an Illiad account with our Interlibrary Services. Use your Illiad account to:

  • Request items not owned by Pacific University or found in Boxer Search
  • Obtain journal articles
  • Request renewals on books
  • Check the status of requests
  • Update contact information

3. Download Zotero software to manage references, create bibliographies, and add citations in your papers

4. Select Pacific University's version of Google Scholar. Use this Google Scholar URL to link to Pacific University resources
