Commenting and Making Suggestions

 

Comments:

Making comments is a useful way to provide feedback on a document without making any changes. By highlighting a word or phrase you can select the area you wish to comment on. You can add a comment three different ways. For the first,

  1. Select Insert on the taskbar.

  1. From the dropdown menu, select Comment.

  1. A comment box will appear to your left. Simply type what you wish to appear and hit Comment.

Secondly,

 

  1. You can add a comment using the toolbar, simply select the comment button.

Lastly,

 

  1. You can add a comment by using the comment keyboard shortcut. Simply type, Ctrl-alt-m.

Making Suggestions

Suggestions are a useful way to suggest changes that can be made on a document.

To make a suggestion,

 

  1. First enter Suggestion mode. To do this, change the editing mode to Suggesting in the upper right hand corner.

  1. When you are in suggesting mode, the mode button should appear green.

  1. Now anything you change or edit should appear on the right as a suggestion, similar to how comments appear.

  1. If you want to accept a suggestion, click the check.
