Working with Google Docs: Inserting Links

Inserting Links

 

Links can be extremely useful and there will be times when they are necessary to have in a document. There are three ways to insert a link in Google Docs. This can be done using the taskbar, the toolbar, or the keyboard shortcut.

 

Using the Taskbar:

  1. On the taskbar, select Insert.

  1. Select Link from the dropdown menu.

  1. This will bring up a box where you can paste and name your link.

  1. When you’re satisfied, click Apply.

Using the Toolbar:

  1. On the toolbar, select Insert Link.

  1. This will bring up a box where you can paste and name your link.

  1. When you’re satisfied, click Apply.

Using the Keyboard Shortcut:

 

  1. The keyboard shortcut for inserting a link is Ctrl-K. Input this using your keyboard.

 

  1. This will bring up a box where you can paste and name your link.

  1. When you’re satisfied, click Apply.
