Getting Started - ILLiad

Set up an Illiad account with our Interlibrary Services so you can request articles from journals not owned by Pacific University Library. Use your Illiad account to:

  • Request items not found in Boxer Search or Summit
  • Open received journal articles
  • Request renewals on books
  • Check the status of requests
  • Update contact information

 

Getting Started - Library Account

Review your Library Account  Go to Pacific University Library Account and 

  • See what materials are currently checked out.
  • Renew your checked-out materials, provided they are not overdue.
  • Monitor the status of your holds.
  • Review your fines.
  • Save your searches and save your results from your Boxer Search search.

Getting Started - RefWorks

Set up an account with RefWorks. RefWorks allows you to create bibliographies in a variety of formats.

  • You mayneed the group code (rwpacificu) to access RefWorks off campus.
  • RefWorks Subject Guide - Revised (has tutorials and information about each step in the process).

 

Getting Started - Google Scholar

Set your preferences in Google Scholar. Go to the Pacific University Google Scholar Information Page for a step-by-step view of this process.

You will need to change TWO settings

  1. Library Links - set up "Pacific University Libraries - Get full-text article"
  2. Export Settings - change to RefWorks

Library Links – creates a quick link to Pacific’s collection of ejournals and, if needed, Interlibrary Loan. 

Change Bibliography Manager to RefWorks – this allows you to save your references/citations quickly to RefWorks.

Now you will be able to link to Pacific’s electronic articles & save your references/citations to RefWorks.
