About this eToolkit

Welcome to the Health Literacy for Interprofessional Education (IPE) eToolkit. We invite current and future health professional students, clinicians, and anyone interested in learning more about taking control of their health and health communication into this site.

Health profession faculty members, as you are preparing future practicing health professionals to care for patients, many of whom will have low health literacy, much of the information is still focused toward you. The tools and resources here are selected to help your students understand the scope and impact of low health literacy on their patients' health and well-being as well as to provide them with additional knowledge, skills and best practices to help them meet their patients' needs.

This eToolkit was made possible through "Knowledge is Health: Interprofessional Partnerships to Promote Health Literacy" NN/LM PNR / University of Washington (UW) subaward (UWSC8999) to Pacific University.

Developed resources reported in this eToolkit are supported by the National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health (NIH) under cooperative agreement number UG4LM012343. The content is solely the responsibility of the authors and does not necessarily represent the official views of the National Institutes of Health.
