Article Galaxy Scholar (AGS) is an article access platform that provides Pacific University faculty, staff, and students the ability to request immediate delivery of articles from selected journals for which we do not currently have a subscription. Pacific community members (current faculty, staff, students) will continue to use the same platforms to access or request journal articles from these publishers--the only difference is that some articles will be immediately available for download and some will need to be requested.
How does AGS work?
When you search for an article in the library search, if the article has been included in our AGS holdings, you will see an option to access the article through Article Galaxy Scholar. When you submit an AGS request, you will be able to download the PDF directly in your browser, and a copy will also be emailed to you directly. If an article is available on an open-access platform, you’ll be automatically redirected to that source.
If an article is not available via AGS or an open-access source, AGS will automatically direct you to Pacific's Interlibrary Loan (ILL) form to submit your request. Articles requested through ILL typically take 24 to 48 hours to arrive.
