COVID-19 and Library Services

The Pacific University Libraries are a central hub for academic support, study, and community at Pacific. As both a core partner in teaching and learning activities at Pacific and a prominent public space on campus, the Libraries have a unique responsibility both to maintain support for student learning and to safeguard community health. The safety and well-being of our patrons and employees is our utmost priority.

In order to align with public health recommendations for social distancing and to minimize the potential risk of transmission of COVID-19 within the Pacific community and within Libraries faculty, staff, and student workers, the following measures are in place, effective Tuesday, March 17. These measures not only protect our local community; they are also a vital contribution to larger national and global efforts to ‘flatten the curve‘ of disease transmission and make sure that our healthcare services have the capacity to serve all who are in need.
