MedEdPORTAL is a MEDLINE-indexed, open-access journal of teaching and learning resources in the health professions published by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), in partnership with the American Dental Education Association. MedEdPORTAL publications are stand-alone, complete teaching or learning modules that have been implemented and evaluated with medical or dental trainees or practitioners. Each submission is reviewed by editorial staff and external peer reviewers using a standardized review instrument grounded in the tenets of educational scholarship.

The MERLOT system provides access to curated online learning and support materials and content creation tools, led by an international community of educators, learners and researchers. MERLOT stands for Multimedia Education Resource for Learning and Online Teaching. The site, developed by California State University, is a repository of online learning resources. While there is some K-12 content, the bulk of the resources on the MERLOT site are aimed at instructors working in higher education and touch on a wide range of subject matter.

MERLOT is a free and open online community of resources designed primarily for faculty, staff and students of higher education from around the world to share their learning materials and pedagogy. The Health Sciences section provides access to more than 3,000 multimedia items from topics ranging from cancer to nutrition to veterinary medicine in formats such as animations, presentations and tutorials and much more.
