Obtaining Theses/Dissertations

1. Use our catalog PacCat to search for theses/dissertations written by Pacific's students.  Go to the Library to obtain the paper.

2. After finding a citation or an abstract for a thesis in PsycINFO, Dissertation Abstracts, or elsewhere, go to WorldCat.

3. In the search box, type in the words from the title – this should be sufficient to locate the dissertation record. If you are unable to locate the dissertation in WorldCat, please contact the Health Sciences Librarian.

4. In the information about the dissertation you will see a section titled “Get This Item”.

5. Click on the Send request to ILLiad link:

*Be aware... Not all institutions loan their dissertations. If they do not, Interlibrary Services will contact you to ask if you are willing to purchase a copy of the dissertation. Most dissertations cost between $25-30 each.
